Local Competition for Composite Structures
Among the events of the Technical Military College Fourth Conference is the following:
The Military Technical College in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research organized a local competition for composite structures. The aim of the competition is the development of talent, the integration of education, the exchange of experience and the promotion of teamwork.
Thirty groups, from twenty universities, amounting to 194 students participated and fiercely competed to reach the finals. Out of these groups Future University in Egypt’s (FUE) Faculty of Engineering and Technology (engineering) presented their ‘3D Printer’ scientific project. 3D designs made on computers are printed as 3D printouts; the printer is durable and can sustain heavy duty daily use, has low running cost and makes high-quality printouts.
Students were the sole producers of the 3D Printer; they produced it under the supervision of a group of senior professors and engineers from the Department of Mechatronics at the University's engineering.
