FUE Signs Letter of Intent to Explore Collaboration with Colombian Universities
FUE received a high level delegation of Colombian universities comprising of Sistema De Universidades Estatales Del Caribe Colombiano (SUE) which represents a coalition of 32 public Colombian universities, Arab Colombian Chamber of Commerce and a number of Colombian universities’ Presidents and Vice Presidents. The visit was organized by both The Ministry of Higher Education and The Embassy of Colombia in Egypt in coordination with FUE faculty member, Dr. Sahar Talaat. The delegation was in the spirit of building collaboration between FUE and Colombian universities.
FUE President, Prof. Ebada Sarhan received the delegation and the joint meeting was attended by H.E. Nicolás Moncaleano, Head of Consular Section of the Colombian Embassy in Egypt, FUE Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Nivine Ragy along with a number of Deans and faculty members representing different domains of mutual interest. Following presentations by both parties, discussions focused on opportunities around sharing expertise in research especially in interdisciplinary fields of science and technology, academic exchange, international publishing and conferences.
Prof. Sarhan and delegation’s representatives signed a Letter of Intent to promote cooperation between both sides in academic exchange, students and professors mobility as well as joint research, among other areas. FUE continues to promote international collaborations to further campus globalization and upscale international research capacities.
