Future University in Egypt (FUE) proudly hosted the QS World University Ranking
Award Ceremony, celebrating its remarkable achievements in the QS World
University Ranking 2025. According to the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Foundation,
FUE has attained the following prestigious rankings:

Top-ranked private university in the Arab Republic of Egypt

Among the top 5 universities in Egypt

Among the top 50 universities in the Arab world

Among the top 20 universities in the African continent

Among the top 950 universities in the world
In this edition, FUE has been ranked 901-950 worldwide, advancing from the top
1,200 universities globally last year to the top 950 universities this year.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher
Education and Scientific Research, who commended the significant progress of
educational institutions in international rankings, reflecting the extensive
development in Egypt's higher education and scientific research system. He
highlighted the pivotal support from the political leadership over the past decade in
advancing the higher education system, aligning with the national strategy for higher
education and scientific research.
During the event, Dr. Ashour emphasized the importance of improving the quality of
research to secure higher rankings in global university systems. He acknowledged
the efforts of Egyptian universities included in the QS ranking and encouraged other
institutions to strive for inclusion in prominent international rankings.
Dr. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt, congratulated Dr. Ashour
on the renewed trust placed in him by the political leadership as Minister of Higher
Education and Scientific Research. He praised the university's encouragement of
researchers to produce distinguished scientific research, contributing to FUE's fifthplace local ranking. The ceremony also featured the recognition of representatives
from the 15 Egyptian universities listed in the QS ranking.
The QS World University Ranking evaluates institutions based on several indicators,
including academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, research
citations per faculty, international faculty ratio, international student ratio, and newly
introduced measures such as sustainability, graduate employment outcomes, and
international research network.
