FUE’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries announced launching the 5th International Conference of Pharmaceutical Sciences, making it the annual meeting for scientists, professors and researchers with industrial expertise to explore the recent developments in the pharmaceutical field globally. FUE is holding the conference from January 28th to 30th in Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski in the First Settlement, New Cairo.
“Being one of the most important educational and research sites in Egypt, FUE plays a major role in the pharmaceutical sciences field through conducting advanced scientific researches that that contribute effectively to supporting the pharmaceutical market locally and internationally,” stated Dr. Seham El-Kheshen, Dean of FUE’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries.
“This conference represents an opportunity for local and international cooperation aimed at improving the educational and health systems and create a breakthrough in the field of pharmaceutical sciences and the pharmaceutical industry in Egypt,” added Dr. El-Kheshen.
The past editions of the International conference of Pharmaceutical Sciences (ICPS) have seen a sweeping success, as they have attracted many regional and international participants and speakers.
In its fifth edition, the conference is hosting 39 speakers from various international universities representing the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, and Japan as well as a group of distinguished Egyptian professors and a number of prominent businessmen in the pharmaceutical industry. More than 500 participants and visitors are attending discussion panels on the latest developments in scientific research and the future of pharmaceutical industries locally and internationally.
ICPS addresses a number of important topics in the field of pharmaceutical sciences, including drug development, analysis and quality control, in addition to the recent researches on drugs of natural origins. Several panels will be discussing molecular pharmacology and toxicology, molecular biochemistry, molecular virology, immunology and diagnosis of infectious diseases. The conference is also deliberating on marketing strategies drug targeting and delivery approaches, as well as developments in nanotechnology, and the future of the biotechnology industry.
During the ICPS opening ceremony, University President and the Irish Ambassador to Cairo witnessed the renewal of the agreement between FUE’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmaceutical Industries and the University College Cork (UCC). The ceremony also included the signing of a number of cooperation agreements with some international universities such as Kumamoto University in Japan and St. John Fisher College in the United States.
The signing of these agreements aligns with FUE’s strategy to develop the educational system providing their students with the most advanced educational programs in various scientific fields.
