Dr. Hassan Wageeh, Head of the Political Science Department, highlighted the significance of interdisciplinary studies in social sciences, as they enhance the ability to predict and understand political phenomena.

Dr. Ahmed Youssef Ahmed, Professor of Political Science at Cairo University, addressed the lessons learned from the "Al-Aqsa Flood," which began on October 7, 2023. He noted that liberation and resistance movements ultimately prevail, especially when the cost of colonization exceeds its benefits.

Major General Dr. Khaled Okasha, Director of the Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies, described the "Al-Aqsa Flood" as an "asymmetric war" between a well-equipped regular army and a less-equipped resistance movement, stressing the need to focus on the field of futurology to better predict political events.

The symposium was moderated by media expert Dr. Mohamed Abdo Badawy, and its aim was to familiarize students with key historical events in the region, explore possible future scenarios with the opening of a new front in Lebanon, and discuss the security and strategic implications of the crisis at both local and regional levels.
