Delegate representatives from the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), headed by Prof. Dr. Ayman EL Kahteeb, Vice President of the EDA visited Future University in Egypt (FUE), to sign a cooperation protocol between the EDA and the Faculty of Pharmacy – FUE, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ebada Sarhan, President of the University, in presence of Dean Hanan Refaat to develop and participate in various educational, training and research activities.
Future University in Egypt (FUE) is a well-recognised world class university in the field of Higher Education complying to international criteria of Education, Scientific Research, Innovation and Training while fulfilling its Community Services Responsibilities, ranked as one of the top 60 among the Arab Universities according to the QS World University Rankings 2022. The FUE Pharmacy - EDA agreement will launch several important projects on the levels of summer internships, education quality improvement and scientific research.
It is important to highlight that the main competent authority responsible for managing pharmaceutical industry in Egypt is the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), which in its role has adopted policies targeting drug development in various stages of the industry, both in the field of pharmaceutical raw materials, basic chemicals, manufacturing and packaging as well as for the marketing, sale and export in order to achieve self-sufficiency of the Egyptian medicine.
