The Future University in Egypt’s (FUE) Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine witnesses an unprecedented development. The faculty is considered one of the leading faculties in dental education, the promotion of scientific research and patient care as it supports the highest learning standards through the implementation of a dynamic curriculum and a focus on clinical training. It has always sought the highest level of distinction according to the most accurate standards to provide outstanding service to its students and society, which has led it to hold a high national and international reputation. A top priority for the Faculty is the preparation of qualified dentists, committed to providing quality care for patients with what meets the national needs and objectives, under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Azazy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Future University in Egypt.

Dr. Hisham Qatamesh, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine at FUE said that the University had provided all the advanced dental techniques and state-of-the-art technological equipment available, to provide its students the best educational and training services. He clarified that the faculty offers a distinguished program based on both scientific research and practice, which enhances learning and discovery between different specializations, and the ability to employ innovative research to develop oral and dental health in the Arab and international society, indicating that the Faculty includes a distinguished selection of doctors and researchers of excellence in dentistry.

He emphasized that the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine is a distinct academic and health institution according to national and international standards, combining study, learning, scientific research and patient care at the same time, noting that it is highly equipped with modern dental techniques to meet the challenges. He also explained that the FUE Dental Hospital provides preventive, educational and therapeutic services to the public.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, FUE is keen to activate the social responsibility by utilizing its faculties to serve the society and the country. He clarified that the FUE Dental Hospital provides free care to the underprivileged, and daily between 400-450 dental cases are treated free of charge at the Dental Hospital. He noted that the hospital also offers an educational program for patients in oral health, including "smoking abstinence and prevention of tooth decay, gum diseases and oral cancer."

The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine includes 7 departments: the Department of Oral Biology and Oral Pathology, the Department of Prosthodontics, the Department of Conservative Dentistry, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the Department of Orthodontics and Pedodontics, the Department of Oral Medicine, Periodontology, Diagnosis and Oral Radiology and the Department of Supplementary General Sciences.

It should be noted that Professor Dr. Hisham Qatamesh, has recently been appointed as Dean of the FUE Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine and that he owns an honorable academic and medical history and had previously held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, Cairo University.
