Rules and Regulations

The University Housing Admission Requirements

  • All students requiring university accommodation must be full-time students at Future University in Egypt.
  • All students and their families should be resident in a country or district where there are no suitable universities or colleges of higher education for those students. The Director of Student Housing may agree to house other residential students, who would make an exception to this regulation, after looking into any exceptional personal circumstances, but no more than fifteen percent of available places should be allocated to such students.
  • The student must be respectable, decently dressed, and be prepared to behave in a civilized and polite manner.
  • The student must not have been previously dismissed permanently from any university housing.
  • The student must be free from any infectious disease.
  • The student must adhere to regulations and instructions issued by the Department of University Housing.

Steps and Conditions for Applying to University Housing

  • The student must fill the accommodation application form.
  • The following must be provided with the housing application form:
    • Four passport type photographs
    • A copy of the student’s ID and a copy of the ID of the father or guardian
    • A medical release certificate from the university clinic
    • New applicants must provide a copy of their admission certificate
  • The student must sign a contract, which shall explaining both the obligations of the student and the administration.
  • New residents will lose their right to student housing if fees are not paid within twenty days from admission acceptance.
  • Current residents must pay the housing fees within fifteen days from receiving their second semester results.
  • Current residents will lose their right to student housing if the fees are not paid within twenty days of second semester results.
  • Students can pay housing fees in two installments. First, before taking up residence at the beginning of the year. Second, before the beginning of the second semester. Insurance fees must be paid with the first installment.

Housing Deadlines

  • Any residential student must provide a written notice to the university housing administration at least one month prior to leaving the housing.
  • University housing will be available for occupation one week before the start of study, at the beginning of the academic year.
  • All students must vacate their rooms no later than three days after the end of study and exams of each semester.

Visiting Times

  • Students may receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. from Sunday through Thursday.
  • Visitors shall be received in the designated reception areas and are not allowed into the students’ rooms.
  • Resident students shall be responsible for only having visitors whom they know and for their good behavior.
  • Under no circumstances, regardless of kinship, may visitors spend the night in a student’s room or remain on the premises after visiting hours.
  • Any violation of the visiting regulations shall result in the cancelation of visiting privileges for that student for a period of time, to be determined by the administration.

Reasons for Ending Housing Accommodation

  • The contract for a student’s accommodation ends at the completion of the academic year, except for those students who are taking university summer courses and have a certificate to prove it.
  • Non-payment of fees
  • A decision by a competent authority to end the housing agreement
  • Being absent from the accommodation for more than fifteen consecutive days without submitting a leave or providing a legitimate excuse.

Students who Voluntarily Choose to End Their Housing Accommodation Agreement

  • Shall complete a form and provide it to the housing supervisor
  • Shall make a full settlement of any outstanding account and relinquish their rooms and hand over their housing card to the appropriate student affairs personnel
  • Remove all personal belongings from the accommodation within the designated period.
