Teaching staff

The teaching faculty of the English Language Department is well qualified with experience ranging from four to more than twenty years. Their pedagogical knowledge stems from the various qualifications that they have, including the internationally recognized Cambridge CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults), the Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test), as well as national and international bachelor’s degrees, national and international master’s degrees in applied linguistics, in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), and PhDs in Literature.

Ahmed Atwa

Ahmed is an enthusiastic and diligent twelve-year experienced educator who worked for many different educational facilities in Egypt and abroad. He is an ITE (Introduction to Teaching English) and CELTA holder who care for students’ problems and provide solutions. He can integrate both fun and learning to achieve the best outcome for the benefit of the students. Also, he is adept at helping learners improve their listening, speaking, reading and writing skills via individual and group sessions. Besides, he is skillful at using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Presentation.

Bothaina Adham

Teaching staff - Bachelor of Arts in English Literature
- CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults) in 2011
- TOT (Certificate in Training of Trainers) from TESOL International Association in 2015

Bothaina is currently a Cambridge DELTA candidate and in light of her strong belief in professional development, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Education later on. She is keen on creating a safe environment for students to express themselves in English which in turn allows students to grow both personally and academically.

Hamid Sherif

Hamid taught a different range of classes and in different environments, such as General English, Business English and exam-preparation classes for IELTS and TOFEL. Since then, he pursued his professional development as an ELT teacher. He attended many workshops and conferences including NileTESOL conferences. He also delivered different workshops for the staff of the university.

Hebatallah Morsy

Hebatallah has lots of passions and multiple talents. She is quite resourceful and that allowed her to engage in different communities and employment opportunities. She has earned certifications that qualified her to create a great learning experience for her students, helping them to expand their knowledge in a variety of fields while reinforcing and enhancing their language skills as well as their personal ones. She also assists in many roles in the department such as the organization of international tests and department profile. Believing in professional development, she is currently doing her master’s degree at University of South Wales. Besides, she is a speaker at international conferences such as ILACE.

Islam Ashry

Islam joined FUE as an English language instructor and a Level Coordinator, he has contributed to the enhancement of the university students’ language capabilities by incorporating new methods and techniques in language teaching. In his pursuit for further professional development, Islam obtained his Cambridge CELTA qualification in 2015, and DELTA qualification in 2017, hoping to complete his MA in TESOL and Applied Linguistics.

Mohamed Khalaf

- Joined FUE at 2015

Mohamed is a highly motivated teacher of English as a foreign language. He is currently a CELTA trainer and the CELTA center manager at the university. He is keen on sharing his teaching experience with other teachers. He has been teaching English as a foreign language for ten years. Throughout his teaching career, he taught a wide range of courses and levels. As for his teaching philosophy, he believes in the principled eclecticism approach, where he is able to decide the most suitable methodology or approach to use depending on the objectives of the lesson and his learners’ needs in the group. Teaching is a passion for him, not just a career.

Sara Saad

Sara obtained her BA in English Language and Literature from Al-Alsun Faculty, Ain Shams University, in 2013. She is a CELTA-certified teacher and now pursuing an MA degree in Applied Linguistics at Cairo University. Her work experience includes volunteer teaching abroad, copyediting, freelance translation, and finally teaching at the FUE since 2016. Her teaching philosophy rests on empowering learners by providing them with a safe learning environment. Her research interests focus on discourse analysis, particularly discourse stance and popular science discourse.

Sherif Essam

Sherif completed his BA in English language and literature at Mansoura University in 2013. He has 3 years of experience in teaching English as a second language for adults. He is always keen on ensuring that all students comprehended the curriculum, and support students who require extra guidance. He is now working on taking DELTA from Cambridge University. His goal is to provide a good learning environment for his students and to get them through difficulties they face in this stage of their lives.
