Career Advice Unit

Roles:

  • Gives information, advice and guidance to undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates through individual interviews and group work
  • Helps undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates in assessing their strengths, areas that need improvement, interests, abilities and skills to select the type of employment that best suits them
  • Advises undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates on further studies or identify the training needed for their skill development
  • Assists in making informed decisions and career plans as well as
  • Guides undergraduates, graduates and postgraduates on how to professionally present themselves and successfully handle interviews
  • Works with academic colleagues to promote the employability of their students and build in career education within the curriculum
  • Liaises with employers to enhance the recruit graduating students and graduates

Dr. Amr EL-Etreby

The Career Advisor in Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine. He is Adjunct Associate Professor of Fixed Prosthodontics and Director of Dental Continuing Education Center. Associate Professor Amr EL-Etreby is Key Opinion Leader - Renfert, Germany. He is founder and owner of Etreby Training Center.

Dr. Ahmed A. Elwahed Shaaban

The Career Advisor in Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine. He is Associate Professor of Prosthetic Implantology. He is Secretary General for the Egyptian Association of Prosthetic & Restorative Dentistry and academic staff member of World Academy of Growth Factors and Stem Cells in Dentistry (WAGROFSCD), Athens, Greece. Associate Professor, Ahmed A. Elwahed Shaaban is Visiting Professor in the Master of implantology program, Bari University, Italy.

Prof. Yehya Serag

Prof. Dr. Yehya Serag is the Career Advisor in Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He is a professor of urban and regional planning in Future university in Egypt/Ain Shams University in Cairo. He is also a regional and urban planning consultant with about 20 years of academic and professional experience. Professionally, Prof. Serag is a partner in the Engineering Consultant Office for Planning and Architecture, through which he was involved in the regional planning of one of the Egyptian border regions with Sudan, setting a proposal for regional development to the Darfur region in Sudan, as well as many strategic and structural city planning projects. He is also a member of the Regional Studies Association in the United Kingdom, as well as being one of its representatives in Egypt. Most recently Prof. Serag co-founded together with a group of consultant offices and individual consultants the “Alliance for Post-Conflict Reconstruction (APOCOR)”. Prof. Serag is a member in the Entrepreneurship committee in the faculty of engineering and technology; he is also a member at the Academic & Research Board of the Institute of Global Security & Defense Affairs (IGSDA).

Dr. Walid Omran

Dr. Walid Omran is the Career Advisor in Faculty of Engineering and Technology. He received his B.Sc. and the M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Ain-Shams University, Egypt in 1998 and 2005, respectively and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada in 2010. He is currently working as an associate professor in the Electrical Engineering department at the Future University in Egypt where he is teaching courses related to electric power systems and renewable energy systems. Dr. Walid is a member in the Entrepreneurship committee in the faculty of engineering and technology.

Prof. Ahmed Gad

Professor Ahmed Mahmoud Gad is the Career Advisor in Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences. He is a Professor of Statistics at Cairo University, currently at Future University. Prof. Gad received his B.S and MS.c from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. He received his Ph.D from Kent University in in 1999. In addiotion to teaching at different universities in Egypt, Prof. Gad is an active researcher and has supervised many graduate students at Cairo University and Benha University. Prof. Gad has a number of published articles in international journals. He is also a reviewer and editor of different international journals.

Prof. Azza Mohamed Hegazy Shehata

Professor Azza Shehata is the Career Advisor in Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration. Prof. Azza is the Vice Dean for community service and Environmental affairs, Faculty of Commerce & Business Administration, Future University in Egypt. She is associate editor of the Future Business Journal (FBJ), and a reviewer of International Journal of Economics, Finance and Management Sciences, the Journal of North African Economics, and the Scientific Journal of Research and Business Studies. She has PhD in Economics from Helwan University. Her research focuses on Economic development to reduce poverty and close gender inequality gap in developing countries.

She has PhD in Business Administration from sadat academy for management science .her reaserche interests include many fields related to business administration. She is the head of the entrepreneurship and career path committee in Faculty of Commerce and business administration
