Abstract :
Objectives: An ultimate goal in distal extension removable partial denture is to optimize stress
distribution and minimize both the forces transmitted to the abutments as well as the residual ridge .
Different designs of attachments for retaining distal extension removable partial denture have been
introduced to control excessive torquing forces acting on the abutment and preserve the abutment
teeth and their related supporting structures. This study was conducted to assess and compare the
effect of RPA clasp, OT CAP attachment, and telescopic attachment on the denture supporting
structures in bilateral distal extension cases.
