Dental Operating Microscope (DOM)
Used for magnification (up to 22 x) and illumination of the operating field.
Useful in identifying extra canals.
Helps in diagnosis of cracks and vertical root fractures.
Helps in negotiation of calcified canals, removal of posts or broken instruments.
Helps in perforation repair.
In surgeries, it helps in preparation of retrograde cavity and easy placement of retrograde filing.
Has an internal camera to record pictures and videos for the performed procedures.
