Summer School Program:
As an effectuation step to FUE's Academic Cooperation agreement with University College Cork (UCC), FUE has the pleasure to announce for UCC's
Summer School Program that will be taking place from 14th till 25th of August 2017.
The academic journey will also involve visits to hospitals and community pharmacy as well as cultural and social events.
The program is designed for students of level 3, 4 and 5 the academic year 2016/2017 at Faculty of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences. Only top 40 students among applicants fulfilling the selection criteria will have the chance to participate in the summer program at UCC.
Throughout the trip, students will be chaperoned by two FUE professional staff.
Upon completion of the program, students will receive a certificate of completion from UCC.
About UCC’s Summer School Program:
The Program is designed to offer candidates with the know-how that gives them an edge in developing their "professional experience" with a curriculum covering Communication skills, cardiovascular disease and patient counselling, Student clinical experience – review of patient / patient Kardex / patient medical notes, Research skills – reading a research paper, Diabetes, Respiratory disease and The role of the pharmacist in the multidisciplinary team.
Classes are held from Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The selection criteria will be announced by the assigned committee for selection at due date.
The UCC's Summer School Program will also include a historic and cultural tour of the University, an organized visit to a tourist destination on Saturday 13th and another tourist destination in the Cork region on Sunday 14th.
There will also be a complimentary welcome dinner and a farewell dinner.
Cost:
The program costs:
€1000 for students in 3rd level in academic year 2016/2017
€1200 for students in 4th and 5th levels in academic year 2016/2017
This cost includes:
Teaching of the Summer School Program
Hospital and community pharmacy visits
Airport transfers

Eligibility
Level 3, 4 and 5 students (academic year 2016/2017)
English proficiency is a must
A Valid Passport
Application form should be submitted before the due date
Personal interview.
For male students military exemption or postponing is a necessity
