Halliburton Field Trip
On 27th of November, The Petroleum Engineering department visited the Yard of Halliburton Overseas ltd. The trip took 20 undergraduate Petroleum Engineering students to the yard. For many of them it was their first time to have this kind of experience.
During the visit, they learnt more about the industry that awaits them after graduation. The group is visiting one of the world's top oil and gas companies, attending a lecture on HSE guidelines, Surface Data Logging and Drilling fluids.
They have also visited the Drilling Fluids lab which has the most advanced equipment in the Middle East. After that, they took a tour in the Yard to see different workshops. For Example, Logging while Drilling Tools, Directional Drilling equipment and they even got the chance to enter the Wireline Trucks.
The opportunity to talk to recent graduates, experienced industry experts on all different areas of petroleum engineering was also so valuable.
