FUE Cultural Festival 2015 " Contemporary Pharaonics "

News The Cairo Opera House witnessed on the 10th of May, 2015 at the Grand Theatre, the FUE eighth Annual Cultural Festival "Watany Al Akbar ". The day included various performances and talents; FUE Oriental and English Choir, Modern Dance, Workshops Art Gallery, and a play.

First, the FUE Choir took over the stage and entertained the audience by national Egyptian songs which were conducted by Dr. Tarek Mahran and western songs which were conducted by the Maestro Ahmed Osman.

Followed by the Modern Dance team that performed an engaging dancing routine which conveyed meaning that didn't include direct narration.  

News After that, all attendees witnessed the outcome of the fine art workshops in a Gallary that showed different types of handmade pieces. The Gallary comprised 11 different types of art. To begin with the arts and crafts; Dr. Osama Emam displayed his Ceramic Art and Crafts Workshop, Mr. Mohamed Banawy in Mosaic Projects, Dr. Islam Ebada in Contemporary Pharaonic Sculpture Workshop. Moving to the paintings; Dr Ahmed Abdel karim displayed his Painting and Instillation Workshop, Dr Abdel Wahab Abdel Mohsen that exhibited his Graphics and Instillation Art Workshop, and Dr. Hossam Raddy presented his Portrait and Oil Paintings Workshop. Moving to comics, the talented Shady Farahat presented Caricature and Comics Workshop. As for the art in fashion, Mr Mohamed Khafagy presented his creation in Fashion Design, Ms. Jasmine Abd El Wahab with her art in Jewelry Design Workshop. Moving to handcrafts, Mr. Mohamed Fawzy Bakkar displayed his Handcraft and Puppet Workshop and finally with the photographer Mr. Ashraf Talaat and his fascinating photos. 

News  Last but definitely not least, the acting club team performed "Hamlet El Million"; inspired by Shakespeare's longest play that is among the most powerful and influential tragedies in English literature "Hamlet", idea and directed by Khaled Galal, wording and poetry by Moustafa Seleem.
