In December 2012, FUE signed a Collaborative Agreement with the Missouri University of Science and Technology (MS&T).
FUE established an undergraduate program in Petroleum Engineering. Missouri S&T has a strong, established reputation in a wide range of engineering disciplines; it is thus highly desirable for FUE to establish this affiliation with Missouri S&T. It desires a relationship with FUE to expand its international linkages, enhance international technological developments, and to promote the greater good in engineering and academe.
This Agreement pertains specifically to Petroleum Engineering. FUE developed its Petroleum Engineering curriculum to be similar to Missouri S&T’s program. This will facilitate the continuous Development of FUE's program.
Under this Agreement, Missouri S&T’s role is to provide academic oversight for FUE’s program development toward a standard suitable for international accreditation. And it will allow a written statement for FUE graduates that their degree is in affiliation with Missouri S&T. This statement will appear on the student’s graduation diploma, certificate and/or official academic records.
This agreement allows student exchange and transfer between institutions, and allows FUE students to pursue post graduate studies at Missouri S&T. Students must meet the existing minimum admissions criteria as outlined by the Petroleum Engineering program at Missouri S&T.
