Day One of Our Participation in the World Urban Forum: A Seminar on Place-Making in Heritage Areas
The World Urban Forum, one of the premier global events in urban planning and sustainable development, kicked off today with the participation of Future University in Egypt at the Egyptian Pavilion. During the event, the University co-hosted a specialized seminar titled "Place-Making in Heritage Areas," featuring key stakeholders, including Future University, the Urban Planning Authority, the Takamol Association, and the United Nations.
The seminar was inaugurated by representatives from Future University, the Urban Planning Authority, Takamol Association, and the United Nations. The discussions focused on the critical role of preserving heritage in urban areas, and how to incorporate innovative techniques and ideas to develop these regions while preserving their historical and cultural significance.
Dr. El Sayed Mohamed Tag EL-din, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and technology. expressed gratitude for this fruitful collaboration, highlighting the invaluable contributions of all involved parties—academic institutions and international organizations. The seminar underscored the importance of joint efforts in achieving the sustainable development goals for historic urban areas.
