Media Youth Leaders Forum
The Future University participated in the Media Youth Leaders Forum in its second session, which was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports from February 25–28, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, with the participation of faculty members and students from 39 colleges and departments. For the media in Egypt and the delegations of 11 Arab countries within the activities of the Arab Youth Year. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the activities of the first day of the forum, in the presence of Dr. Tariq Saada, Head of the Journalists Syndicate, Dr. Kamal Darwish, Chairman of the Higher Scientific Advisory Committee at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and a group of public and governmental figures. During his opening speech, the Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his happiness at the gathering of media brotherhood among Arab youth, as a step towards exchanging experiences and cultures, as a starting point towards the desired hope of formulating an Arab youth media vision that faces the challenges of contemporary Arab media.
The forum discussed many dialogue sessions, including meeting the media, confronting crises, and encouraging joint projects, in the presence of Professor and media expert Osama Al-Sheikh, former President of the Radio and Television Union, and Professor Dr. Dealing with crises and the role of digital media in the ability to manage them, in accordance with specialized global professional mechanisms and the mechanism for developing a unified Arab media policy to confront global crises and encourage joint investment projects.
In addition, the challenges of women, youth, and youth in the eyes of Arab media youth leaders and health awareness through the media industry, in the presence of journalist and writer Heba Al-Basha, deputy head of the National Council for Women, Prof. Dr. Hanan Youssef, dean of the Faculty of Media Language, Maritime Academy, Smart Village Branch, Dr. informant Rawan Lashin, member of the Council Al-Shuyoukh, and Dr. Walaa Yahya, an academic researcher specializing in the field of media and health awareness. The session discussed the role of print, audio and visual media in advancing women, children and youth, as well as playing the role assigned to health awareness, especially after the Corona pandemic.
Furthermore, the tasks of the spokesperson for institutions and entities in the Arab countries, in the presence of Dr. Naayem Saad Zaghloul, Director of the Media Center in the Council of Ministers, Prof. Dr. Amani Albert, journalist and academic expert, and Prof. Dr. Mona Ali, Head of the Media Department at the American University in the United Arab Emirates, and the session touched on: discussing the tasks of the official spokesperson and media coordinator in the agencies and institutions within the Arab world, dealing with crises, communicating with various media outlets, and the ability to send information and data according to specialized international professional mechanisms.
In conclusion, the Armed Forces organized a visit for the delegation of the Second Forum of Media Youth Leaders, which is implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, to the headquarters of the Egyptian Military Academy, with the aim of informing the delegation of how to prepare and qualify the students of the academy and military colleges. On the efforts of the military media in highlighting the role of the Egyptian Armed Forces in cooperation with brotherly and friendly countries in confronting terrorist acts in a way that supports the pillars of security and stability. The delegation also visited the Museum of the Military Academy, which contains many historical paintings and collectibles, as well as passing through a number of physical fitness and battle vaccination fields. The delegation watched a military parade that showed the extent of discipline enjoyed by the students of the Military Academy. He thanked the armed forces for organizing that visit.
