FUE signs a cooperation agreement with AstraZeneca.
Within the framework of FUE's endeavors to develop the students on an academic and professional level, as well as its eagerness to enable sustainable development principles, Future University in Egypt signed a memo of understanding with AstraZeneca Egypt at the university headquarters in New Cairo.
The memo aims to support the university's strategic plan to enable the students to achieve their best through specialized Pharmacy training and building their pharmaceutical capacities.
In addition, the agreement aims to develop the students' labor market skills which is a top priority for the university, to build cadres capable of developing society and reach practical mechanisms to increase their global competitiveness among other universities' graduates. That is to be achieved through training, stimulation of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process from the material distribution phase till the end of the process, including field trips, cultural, educational, and development activities for distinguished students.
As part of FUE agreement with AstraZeneca, one hundred outstanding students get the opportunity to participate in the 2-month summer training program (AZ Gate). The program is divided into two sections; the first is a commercial section related to the skills of sales, display, communications, and pharmaceutical businesses, and the second section is a manufacturing section that focuses on the whole manufactory process, supply chain mapping, quality control, and manufacturing process standards, quality management system standards for improvement, as well as business sustainability and corporate responsibility.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt, and Dr. Mohamed Amin, Member of the Board of Directors for Government Affairs and Market support, at AstraZeneca Egypt on behalf of Dr. Hatem Al Wardaney, chairman of AstraZeneca Egypt and Dr. Loay Hossam, Director of Production and Manufacturing and Board Member, at AstraZeneca Egypt for pharmaceutical manufactory.
Dr. Mohamed Amin expressed his happiness over this cooperation with FUE, the no. 1 top-ranked private university in Egypt, following the guidelines of sustainability for 2030 vision to prepare a well-established generation for the national and the international labor market according to President Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi plan for sustainable development and youth employment.
Prof. Ebada Sarhan also stated that this memo is an available addition to the university that will support the educational system development and improvement plan FUE is currently adopting. He also added that such an agreement would result in the creation of successful pharmacists aware of all aspects of the pharmaceutical process.
It is also worth mentioning that Future University in Egypt got five stars in the world QS university ranking which is the highest rank a university can get in addition to being the no.1 top-ranked private university in Egypt and no. 4 among the national and private Egyptian universities. FUE is also considered one of the most distinguished universities in higher education and has previously received several high rankings for its education quality on a Global, Arab, and African level.
