Assessing Students’ writing ability

In this workshop, the focus is on providing participants with some practical tools to create valid, fair Writing tasks for assessment purposes. Firstly, some of the theory behind Writing assessment will be outlined. Next, the Cambridge Assessment English approach to Writing task creation will be examined. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to put theory into practice and produce their own Writing tasks for their own contexts.
Introduction to Objective PET and the PET Exam

In this workshop, the focus is on how to use the course book, Objective PET. Peter will also walk us through the units in order to fully understand the logic behind the creation of the book. He will also provide us with an over view of the PET Exam and the importance of having an internationally accredited certificate for our Ss.
